Top 5 white digital pianos under $2000UPDATED REVIEW – Jan 1, 2024 – TOP 5 BEST WHITE CABINET COLOR DIGITAL PIANOS UNDER $2000 – Our 2024 Picks | LOWER PRICES HERE | In past years most digital pianos came in 2 cabinet colors and generally they were either matte black or matte brown/rosewood. A few models were also available in polished ebony for more money. A white color cabinet was fairly rare to find in a digital piano because white was simply not very popular at the time.

But in the last few years a new digital piano in a white color cabinet has become very popular, especially this current year 2023. I think this is because home décor and colors has been changing with the advent of all white kitchens in many homes, white accent décor, and the desire for simple, clean, but yet elegant colors over the traditional brown and “earth tones” of past years and decades.

However, there are still many people out there who like and prefer a black cabinet, either matte finish or polished ebony, and the brown or rosewood cabinet is still popular as well. But the “white color cabinet has really taken off this year and it is easy to see this phenomenon in digital pianos these days. Top digital piano companies that never offered white cabinets before are starting to do so and in fact on many of their top models that are available in “white,” they cannot keep them in stock most of the time because the demand is getting so big for them.

white digital pianoWhite color digital pianos are available from just over $500 to well over $2000 and on up past $7500. In fact there are a couple of digital piano companies who offer a “polished” (gloss) white finish on a couple of their higher end digital pianos but those polished white pianos are generally quite a bit more money than polished ebony cabinets and substantially more money than the traditional matte finishes. But for under $2000, for the models that are offered in a white color, they would be matte (non gloss) white which require less upkeep and on white pianos you don’t see dust on it like you do on darker pianos.
Since the bulk of digital pianos sold in the US are under $2000, we have carefully put together a list of our top 5 picks for white cabinet digital pianos under $2000. After years of experience with all the top best brands and “hands-on” experience with their current models, we have weighed all the factors and concluded that based on the capability of these 5 digital pianos in a white finish, that they are the best overall choices.
We have factored in all of the features including design, appearance, performance, quality, reliability, and functionality for the money. These 5 digital pianos in white color cabinets do not include all brands because some of the brands in the “under $2000” price range either did not have a good choice of digital pianos in a white color or their pianos simply did not qualify because others were much better in terms of the more authentic “piano playing experience” they offered for the money.
White digital pianoThe white cabinet and design is important to many people when shopping for a new digital piano and that’s what this top 5 list is all about. However, the piano still has to offer the best piano playing experience in its price range as compared to other models so it was not just the white cabinet that mattered. It’s a combination of an attractive white cabinet combined with a capable digital piano that will give you the “biggest bang for the buck” not only in appearance, but for the way it plays and how close it comes to a real piano along with helpful and usable digital features.

TOP 5 BEST WHITE CABINET DIGITAL PIANOS UNDER $2000

The pianos below are in order of price from highest to lowest. With the exception of being offered in a white cabinet, these digital pianos are are all very different from each other in terms of their functions and features. Also, all of the pianos below are offered in matte black cabinets and some also are offered in a brown color cabinet. But it is because they come in a white color that makes these “already impressive pianos” even more desirable because of the growing popularity of a nice white finish on new digital pianos.

Korg G1B white cabinet1. Korg G1B Air – $1999 – The Korg G1B Air home digital piano comes complete with a contemporary compact furniture cabinet. This piano not only looks great in the matte white color, but this model sounds and plays like a real piano. In fact, the rich piano sound that emanates from its powerful internal speaker system sounds like your are sitting in front of an acoustic baby grand piano.
It has very responsive piano key action and the G1B Air primarily focuses on the “piano playing experience.” It does have a few nice “bells ^ whistles” including some realistic instrument sounds, but its really for someone who mainly wants to play piano and wants it to be as real as possible in this price range. The Korg music products company is known for producing high quality digital pianos and keyboards at very affordable prices. Casio AP-470 white cabinet2. Casio AP-470 – $1699 – The Casio AP-470 home digital piano comes in a more traditional piano cabinet that is very attractive with its front support legs and definitely has the best looking full size traditional cabinet in its price range. This model also primarily focuses on the “piano playing experience” although it also has some very cool “bells & whistles” including a number of additional instrument sounds, a variety of recording options, song player mode, and a very useful proprietary app that Casio designed to control the piano from the color touch screen your tablet. The model also comes with a matching bench and 5 year factory warranty. I have written a detailed review of this model so please check it out at the following link and if you want more info please let me know: Casio AP-470 Review
Kawai ES920 white3. Kawai ES920 – $1899 plus $438 for optional stand and triple pedal unit = $2337 – This newer model is a furniture cabinet digital piano once you add the optional furniture style stand and triple pedal bar to the piano. It’s close enough to the $2000 price range that we included her on this list because it is such an impressive model. It  looks great in its contemporary style and focuses on the “piano playing experience” under $2000 along with some impressive “bells & whistles.”
It has an impressive vibrant stereo piano sound and we also like its piano key action very much because it is responsive to all types of music along with authentic pedaling and excellent sustain and resonance when you are using the pedals. The internal Onkyo 40 watt speaker system with bass reflex ports offers a surprisingly powerful  and full piano sound for its smaller cabinet size and the bass frequency response is very good. The cabinet also comes in a black color if you prefer that one. You can get further info on this model by going to our detailed review at the following link: Kawai ES920 Review

Casio PX820 white cabinet4. Casio PX-870 – $1199 – The Casio PX-870 is probably the most popular piano in this list not only because it comes in an attractive white furniture cabinet, but because it really gives you a great “bang for the buck” in a price range closer to $1000. There’s a lot of people who really don’t want to go a lot higher than $1000 when shopping for a new digital piano and this model definitely qualifies in that way. The Casio PX-870 is very popular because even though it is at a more “entry level price range” than the models above this one for a nice digital piano in a furniture cabinet, it does not act like an entry level piano and that’s what makes it so good. It sounds very nice as a piano and the key action is responsive. Casio PX-870 Review
It has a powerful 40 watt, 4 speaker internal audio system which is not something found in any other brand in this price range, but it has an impressive stereo acoustic piano sound, a responsive triple sensor piano weighted key action, and good pedaling ability. It also has some additional “bells & whistles” that I like very much and the smaller compact furniture style cabinet really looks great. As far as good home digital pianos in an attractive white cabinet goes, this one is a winner. Check out our review and let us know what you think:

Korg B2SP white cabinet5. Korg B2SP & Casio PX-S1100 – $649 and $699 each respectively – The newer Korg B2SP and Casio PX-S1100 are “portable” digital pianos and weigh in at just around 25 lbs each. So they are extremely light especially given the fact that they both have really nice 88-key piano weighted key actions in them. Since both of these models are under $700 each and both come in attractive white cabinet, they are “tied” at #5 for being in the Top 5 Best WHITE Digital Piano List.

The Korg B2SP already includes the furniture stand and triple pedal unit (in the SP version) which are normally options, and the Casio PX-S1100 does not include a stand or triple pedal unit but those 2

accessories can be added at an extra cost. The Casio stand will cost $159 and the triple pedal unit comes in at $119 with a total price for both pieces at $278. So if you wanted to add the stand and triple pedal system to the Casio PX-S1100 the total price would be $927 for the piano, stand, and triple pedal whereas the Korg B2SP at $749 already comes with the stand & triple pedal unit which makes it a a very good deal.

Both the Casio and Korg models are really impressive as portable digital pianos at their lower prices and both have realistic acoustic piano sound, intuitive operation, and some very cool features which will definitely add more musical enjoyment to your playing. I would recommend either piano in this “lower” price range and both companies produce reliable product. You can read my detailed reviews of these 2 models at the following links: Korg B2SP Review  Casio PX-S1100 Review
I also wanted to mention that we did not include any models in this list from either Roland or Yamaha. This is not because those 2 popular brands don’t produce some impressive digital pianos because they have some models which can be a good choice. They are not on this list simply because for a white cabinet digital piano under $2000, the ones we have on this list we believe are superior to what Roland and Yamaha have in this price range. We  put together this Top 5 Best WHITE cabinet digital piano list based on our personal experience playing all of these pianos including ones not on this list.
