Digital Piano sale

HUGE DIGITAL PIANO SALE! LOWEST PRICES & BEST BRANDS! LIMITED TIME ONLY! SALE ENDS SOON! ETC, ETC, ETC!

So does that kind of advertising get your attention? It should, but is it REAL? That’s the big question you should be asking when you see that kind of thing because a piano/music store dealer can say anything they want to and really doesn’t get “in trouble” for it if it’s not true. So how can the average digital piano shopper know if they are actually getting a special low price or not or if it really is a limited time event in which you’ll never see that price again? How can you know if this price is really just a regular discount price that you can get pretty much any day of the week on-line or at a local piano store? The answer is that sometime you just can’t know and you just make a decision to buy it (or not) and hopefully enjoy the piano that you bought.

Many salespeople say “limited time only” or “special event” to get you excited about buying now…that’s their job, to get you to buy now rather than later. The fact is that owning a good digital piano can be lots of fun to play and enjoyable to own and a benefit for the entire family. Their are many good brands out there but even when they ARE on sale, they may not be the best buy as compared to other models in other brands. For most piano shoppers, it’s difficult to distinguish which new digital piano is the best “bang for the buck” in their price range. There are many digital piano choices and many of them can give you a fairly good playing & practice experience. However there definitely are some brands and models that have features & functions which excel over their competition and are even LESS money than other models. High price does not always equate into the better buy.

Casio Privia PX850

Take the brand new Casio Privia PX850 (coming out soon) at $1099 internet price for example. The PX850 piano, which has been a top seller for the Casio company, has features that up until now have only been on pianos for well over $2000 such as 256-note polyphony piano memory, multi-sampled dynamic response with piano pedal and sound vibration resonance, synthetic ivory & ebony keytops, simulated acoustic upright graduated fully weighted key action, audio wav file recording & playback from USB flashdrive, and upright piano lid sound projection as well as other features too. The piano action and sound are very impressive for the money based on my experience with it and it even has USB connection to iPad & computer.

The only reason I bring up this new Casio model as opposed to the other brands I like (Roland, Kawai, Yamaha, Korg, Kohler, Kurzweil, and others) is that many people equate Casio to lower quality or at least equate lower price to lower quality. But that just isn’t the case anymore and in fact with digital technology getting to be SO much better these days, the companies that produce cutting edge digital technology (like the Casio company) can come out way ahead compared to some traditional piano manufacturers. Just look at the iPad…it’s less money and smaller/more portable than many conventional computers, but look what it can do…amazing stuff!

Digital Piano sale

I have been playing professional and home digital pianos for many years and I can tell you that I have had lower priced music/digital piano products from Roland, Yamaha, Kawai, Kurzweil, Korg and others that blew away higher priced models from competitors at that time. So don’t let brand name, sale price, limited time only events, and other advertising try to fool you into thinking you bought the best possible item for your price range or that you need to buy now. Shop around, do your research and know that in many cases, you can spend less money and get more. It’s not always like that but in many cases you can get something better for the same price or less.

If you want to know if you are getting a good deal on the digital piano you are looking at and considering for purchase (US only), I will be happy to help you and give you advice at no charge since I generally know what most of the new digital pianos should be selling for and how they stack up against their competition. I cannot help with giving advice on prices outside the US since dealers & distributors in other countries have their own relative pricing and are not similar to the US.
