I did a lot of research about what digital stage piano to get to replace my Kawai MP5. Of course, I’m partial to Kawai’s anyway because I like the user interface, features, quality of the sounds and, of course, their action. I had even purchased a Nord Stage 3, which is great, but a different animal and nothing like a piano. I checked out reviews of every keyboard in this class and none of the reviews were as honest, complete, well presented and understandable as Tim and Erik’s reviews. Then I noticed that, not only do they review these things, but they sell them too!
Honestly, at first it looked a little shady. The graphics on their web page dedicated more space to raising funds for grandson Dylan than to selling pianos, the graphic design is square, primitive and not really attractive and the line “Don’t purchase a piano anywhere without contacting me first….” sounds like a snake oil salesman! So I dug a little deeper to see about other peoples’ experience. Many others were skeptical too, but all of the reviews from people who actually bought a keyboard from AZ were very favorable, so I decided to go for it.
I could sum up everything about my experience by saying that AZ runs their business the way all businesses should run. I felt like a person dealing with another person (in this case, Erik). He was straight forward, put all the info out there from the start, never tried to up-sale or force me to buy accessories (I had to request he get me a gig bag). I love the fact that they don’t take credit cards, charge tax or shipping and offer wholesale prices! They saved me over $500 ! Plus, everything arrived ahead of time and in perfect, brand new condition.
I don’t often write reviews, but Tim & Erik Praskins at AZ Piano are good, honest, knowledgeable, ethical people that provide an excellent service to musicians at a very good price. I wish all business were like that!
